Weekend

Saturday

I went to campus intending to work and study. (no laughing). Anyway…I ended up not studying, and spending all my time trying to fill out my parking ticket appeal form (which I still need to finish…). I was planning on going to Golden Gardens later in the day–Barbara was throwing a party to celebrate her friend Candace (sp?) visiting from Tennessee. But…instead of just going I ended up being the taxi service, but that was fine. Later on I got lo…errr, explored downtown Ballard with Becky while we were trying to find a grocery store….

Saturday evening

Swing dancing. I need lots more practice. Becky and Gen are very tolerant. Yay for them.

Sunday

…This part of the entry is going to make me look bad no matter how I put it….

I got a call today that the wind was good, so I decided to go sailing. Which was nice…but it got me in trouble. See…apparently Becky and I agreed that she would call me sometime before 2:30 so we could take her car door apart and fix it (it wouldn’t open from the inside). Unfortunately, this never registered with me, so I was just planning to call her when I got back from sailing (probably around 3:00). Yeah…so by the time I got back from sailing I had nasty messages left for me on pretty much every method of communication…

Anyway, after about half an hour she started speaking to me again and I walked to Terry (her dorm) and we drove to the Waterfront Activities Center (in case we needed tools from the shop…). So then I was trying to figure out how to take the door apart and flipped the child safety lock switch…yeah, so that was why the door didn’t open from the inside. I’m so good at fixing things, I amaze even myself. After the brilliant exhibition of my mechanical genius we walked around the WAC area for a while, and Becky discovered a climbing wall and was very excited.
